In football the FIFA world cup is like a huge party among football fans where the whole nation gathers to see their national team play and every football player has a dream of winning it. The same goes for other sports as well like rugby or volleyball. In basketball however, lets be real, the world cup isn't taken that seriously even by basketball fans. Top players find excuses to skip participating in the competition because they dont care about it that much.
