Voyaging River Craft – Free to the Right Adventurer (Near Richmond, VA)
I am giving away my river voyaging craft that has carried me on hundreds of miles of river camping, including a long trip down the Mississippi.
The boat was a pontoon-style platform built on two large inflatable tubes made by Jack’s Plastic Welding in New Mexico. These tubes are extremely durable and purpose-built for expedition use. 25 inch diameter, about 17 feet on the waterline.
This craft allowed me to travel rivers while camping anywhere along the banks—avoiding mud, bugs, snakes, poison ivy, and trespassing issues. It made quiet, independent river travel possible.
I’m not selling it. I want it to go to someone who will actually use it and have adventures with it.
