All naps in carrier — how to start crib naps?

Looking for advice and ideas. My 3.5 month old currently only naps during the day in a carrier. It’s worked so far, but as he’s getting bigger it’s becoming physically unsustainable for me.

I’ve tried a few things already without much success:

* Letting him fall asleep in the carrier and then transferring him to the crib. I'm trying this especially for his first nap of the day

* Breastfeeding him to sleep in my arms while rocking in a dark room with white noise/shusher, then putting him down

* Using a Rockit on the pram and trying to transition him there after falling asleep in the carrier

Right now he’s taking about 4–5 naps a day, so it’s pretty exhausting. His naps can last anywhere from around 40 minutes to 1.5 hours, with the occasional longer 2–3 hour nap.

I’m not expecting all naps to suddenly happen in the crib, but I’d really like to get at least 1–2 naps there if possible.

If anyone has been in a similar situation and found something that helped (that is not sleep training), I’d really appreciate hearing what worked for you.
