My family member is about to graduate high school and is interested in studying law after college. She is majoring in accounting and will be on the pre law class. Her top three options for schools are umass darthmouth, assumption university, and Suffolk. She wants either umass darthmouth or assumption. She is a smart girl but wanted to stay close to home in Massachusetts for school and is worried about debt/ doesn’t care about big names as long as she gets her degree. She also got into bridgewater state, stone hill and WNE

She values diversity (she’s a black girl) , smaller personal environment and has an interest in minoring in music which is why she took Suffolk off her list. They don’t have music and it’s a city school with less of a cohesive campus which is important to her. Assumption is not as diverse, only has 2,000 students. Umass darthmouth is more diverse, slightly bigger, but they have co-ed dorms and I don’t know if the environment matches her personality.

Tuition wise she was offered about the same about for both so money can’t be used as a factor.

These are her two options now, we don’t know which is best for her. Based on experiences or what you’ve heard, which should she choose? If she hates either she could always transfer I guess. She’s a quiet but confident girl who has a strong interest in jazz and is a free/deep thinker. I want her to be at a place she will flourish.
