Unopposed top wisdom teeth
I got my bottom wisdom teeth pulled out 8 years ago (can’t remember why, probably overcrowding), but my top ones were kept. Right now I have 26 teeth and, mentioned by the dentist for the first time, I’m in a new dental office and they mentioned that my unopposed top wisdom teeth will continue to grow and erupt if I don’t get them pulled. The top teeth grew in straight and I never had any issues with it, but I did check the X-rays they showed me and my wisdom teeth are about 2mm “longer” than the rest of my upper set. The dentist recommended I get them removed.
I’m opposed to unnecessary teeth pulling, especially since I’ll only be at 24 adult teeth if I get my upper wisdom teeth removed. Any advice? Can unopposed teeth thrive, or is it valid that I should get them pulled now before issues come up in the future
