December Business Class Bidding Possibility

Hello! I'm trying to book a flight in Dec for myself and grandfather. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience of flights in December and having a successful bid? My family keeps telling me to just book regular seats then bid but since Dec. is a busy season idk if I want to take the risk of possibly not having a bid open since it's a fully booked flight. We plan to leave LAX around 12/16. I was looking at the afternoon flight since that seems to be the one that's least crowded and cheapest according to PAL website.

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I'm hoping to get some better insights regarding Farmers because I'm at an impasse with my mom. For the past few years, Farmers has not really had the best media presence, not to mention the mass cancellation that went about a few years ago due to the fires.

For context, I live in CA. The primary issue is we are looking around for car insurance and she wants to pay under $600/month for it. We previously had allstate but when she bought a new car, she didn't account for how much the change in insurance would go up. Basically, it got canceled because the insurance premium for our cars will basically double. What she failed to mention was that Allstate also had our home insurance when she told me to cancel it. To avoid the hassle of the agent, I canceled it and said it's due to a move out of country. It's been over two weeks and we haven't had home and auto insurance. The home insurance is what I'm more worried about since that report is attached to our home lender so through my attempts to look for an affordable bundle, it just wasn't panning out.

My mom rarely ever thinks of the big picture and it's what frustrates me the most. I contacted every feasible insurance agent that could do a bundle and one agent finally explained to me the reason why the rates quoted are so high -- Between 2022 - 2024, my mom has had two traffic violations, one red light and one speeding, and three car accident claims (this one pissed me off the most cause I clearly remember the person offering to pay out of pocket and keep insurance out of it but she thought she would get more through the insurance.) So, I decide to maybe keep them separate and go with Bamboo for home insurance since they quoted the cheapest with a fairly decent home coverage. She was on board...TWO DAYS AGO.

She gets a call from a farmers agent yesterday and gets persuaded with some presentation shown and now she wants to bundle everything with farmers because the auto premium is under $400 and home insurance price is matched. My main concern though is that farmers has not been very reputable as of late and the fact that there's news out there that CA may be pulling their license for suspension because of not so ethical practices.

I don't know if I'm overreacting or just pissed at my mom for the pulling the rug out of me again. I haven't even checked how cancellation with bamboo works so if anyone here has any insight on that, it'll be much appreciated. My main questions though is, for those who are still with Farmers, would you still go to them if you had the choice? I just really need to get some pros and cons on this matter...not that it would matter because I'm sure she's signing with the person now, but for my own sanity sake, I need to know if I should keep looking for other things.

Thanks in advance!
