Noise Help - better video

Hoping for some guidance, even just things to look for when I’m next under the truck over the weekend.

Any help is much appreciated!

Freshly installed:
- oem steering rack + tie rods (inner & outer)
- replaced body mount and radiator bushings with energy suspension urethane ones.
- fresh alignment (and re-torqued cam bolts myself)
- oem cv axles (both sides)

Suspension set-up
- 2.5” Elka’s with resi & adjustment
- Sway-Bar is not installed
- SPC UCA (1 year old as previous ones failed and warrantied)
- 1.5 year old oem LCA
- energy suspension bump stops (extra tall)

Paid for 1.5 hours of diagnosis when I had my alignment done after I installed the new rack, and the dealer couldn’t figure it out. They are useless, but my only alignment option in my area.

Ideas:
- maybe brakes? Sticky / rattling slide pins?
- lca cam bolts bushings? (Though it aligned fine, so doubtful)

Part Number Help

TLDR: Looking for exhaust manifold stud and nut for a 2006 V6

Hi everyone,

I replaced my passenger side catalytic converter over the weekend and the aftermarket gasket is causing a small exhaust leak, so I am going to order the OEM gasket. When putting that in, the studs could also use replacement (as I don’t know if they will handle being torqued to spec again, one is in rough shape), and I am struggling to find the correct part number.

My toyota dealers website I use to order from up here in Canada doesn’t give me an option for the V6.

Here is the part I think fits, but would love some help!

Help Choose m12 ratchet

Hey all,

Finally getting around to upgrading from my off brand cordless ratchets, and am torn between the new 3/8 Fuel 3053-20 and the older but really appealing insider ratchet 3050-20

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/products/details/m12-fuel-3-8-ratchet/3053-20

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/products/details/m12-fuel-insider-extended-reach-box-ratchet/3050-20

If you could only have one which would you choose and why?

For those of you who have used both, what do you prefer?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to find out if anyone has had any luck dropping in a newer Toyota head unit into a 4th Gen 4Runner non-jbl.

Got the inspiration from folks putting 3rd gen Tacoma head units into the 2.5g Tacoma's and am hoping there might be a model of head unit out that that would be plug in play, buy also bring Bluetooth, and some other niceties without going aftermarket.

Any advice, forum posts, etc would be much appreciated.

Thanks everyone

Hi everyone!

I have filled out the recommendation form from the wiki and included it below. I am hoping to stay with a known brand for reliability, but am open to any and all suggestions.

Thank you in advance to anyone who reads and/or responds!

* **What are your goals for your car audio system - as loud as possible (SPL)? Sound quality (SQ)? Some combination of both? Describe to us how you want your system to sound.**

Just needs to work and have clear audio. Nothing fancy. I will only be changing out the broken tweeters to something basic along the lines of the JL Audio C1-075ct or similar.

I would like to maintain functionality of the steering wheel controls, and potentially add a backup camera in a few months when budget allows.

---
* **What vehicle? - year, make, model, type (coupe, sedan, SUV, truck, etc.)**

 2006 Toyota 4Runner, V6, Sport Edition
Trying to freshen it up to hopefully get another 10 years as I am only at 250,000km

---
* **What is your maximum budget?**

 $400-600 CAD

---
* **Will you be installing the gear or are you going to a shop? If a shop is doing the work, does your budget include the cost of labor?**

 I will install myself.

---
* **What gear is in your existing system? (Is it stock? List any aftermarket gear.)**

 Stock. Non-jbl

---
* **What is your country of purchase? Leave any finishing thoughts here.**

Canada

Looking for a solution that would allow mounting a a few Baja Designs Squadron 2.0 Pro Lights, but that I could ideally rotate / flip up and down when not in use to minimize wind noise, and maintain some parking garage clearance.

I found a found a motorized version from led-colight, but I would much prefer a manual solution.

Has anyone found some brackets that would make this kind of install possible without going the custom fabrication route?

Thanks in advance!
