I’m taking care of a school aquarium with Malawi cichlids, and I’ve noticed something unusual with one of our Yellow Lab cichlids.

For a while now, one individual has been significantly darker in coloration than the others. Instead of the typical bright yellow, it appears more muted/darker overall. The behavior seems mostly normal (no obvious aggression, still eating), but the color change concerns me.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Yellow Labs? Any ideas what might be causing this or what I should check?
