I have an Apple TV plugged into an orei HDMI audio extractor, which then sends a signal to my LG C5 and to an old AVR (this setup gives me Dolby vision and atmos - which my AVR didn’t support).

Anyways, the Apple TV remote is unable to control the AVR volume. I feel like I’ve tried everything. Must be a handshake issue or something but I am looking for a universal remote alternative. Any suggestions?

I was looking at the Switchbot + matter hub? Bonus points if it’s “smart”, most of my lights are Matter/Homekit controlled.
