I’m looking to buy a CPO 2023 BMW i4 eDrive40 for around $35k for a 120 mile work commute. My musts are M-Sport Package and the Parking Assistance Package for the 360 Degree Camera. Are there any other must haves? I’m hoping for a high optioned one too.

Im looking for the eDrive40, but on the market why does it seem like there’s so many more eDrive35s? I also heard the eDrive40 has a better drive compared to the M50 is this true?

Are there any common issues I should I know about?
My dad has a BMW iX and he had a drivetrain malfunction leaving the car immobile until the dealer opened the front drive unit to clean metal debris from the brush in the motor. I hear the i4 could have the same issue. Did anyone face that? Also, how’s the battery health and what’s everyone getting for their real world range?

Anything you wish you’d known before buying?

I’ve been tracking the i4 prices for a bit over the last few months. Have the prices gone up because I feel like they have. Is this due to rising gas prices?

I’m starting a new job soon where my commute will be 120 miles round trip. I currently drive a gas-guzzler Lexus which I love, but it’d be very impractical. I’d get a used maybe CPO i4 as my commuter daily as a second car. What does everyone get for their real world range? I’m looking at the eDrive40 since I think i’ll get range anxiety with the eDrive35. I also really want the M-Sport Package but I feel like it’s extremely rare. My dad already has an iX xDrive50 and it typically gets the same as the advertised range or higher. I’ve been noticing that there’s few eDrive40s compared to eDrive35s and even less CPOs. I want CPO for the 2.99% APR offer. Is that the same case for the i4 and is the eDrive40 worth it over the eDrive35?
