I’m looking for some serious guidance regarding the Mera Ghar Mera Ashiyana Scheme.

Here’s my situation:

  • I currently own a property worth around 1 crore PKR
  • Planning to sell it and construct a 5 marla house for my family
  • Even after selling, I’ll still be short on funds, so I’m considering this government loan

Right now, I’m paying 70,000 PKR/month in rent, so instead of paying rent, I’d prefer to shift that into an EMI. I can comfortably manage an EMI of around 70k/month

My main questions:

  • Is it realistically possible to get around 5 million PKR under this scheme?
  • Does my current situation (owning property + planning to sell + construction) qualify?
  • What income proof or documentation is usually required?
  • Which banks are actually cooperative in processing these loans?
  • Are there delays, hidden costs, or rejection risks I should be aware of?

I want to plan this properly before making the decision to sell my current property, so any real experiences or honest advice would really help.
