My family moved into a house on some land about 3 years ago. I mention the land because it has some very creepy forestation on it where I don’t like to go even in broad daylight. My husband said he always got a creepy feeling here but couldn’t put his finger on why. Ever since we moved in it’s been like the place is trying to spit us out. Crazy amount of stuff breaking, unexplained floods where there’s no access to water, new appliances breaking out of nowhere, etc. There has not been one week since we moved in that we haven’t had a disastrous experience. We can’t specifically chalk all that up to paranormal activity, but it’s not a super old house and there’s been something almost systematic or targeted about all of it. Anyway, the real reason I’m here. We have a split floor plan and two of our young kids often come to our bedroom at night because they’re scared. We leave our bedroom door open for that reason. About 2-3 months ago, I was lying awake and the door closed. I got up and nobody was there but eventually I located my 6 year old raiding the fridge. All good. Ever since then though, my door has been pulled shut frequently and it’s been my daughter only one other time. I’ve heard little feet run away and I’ve dashed out the door but nobody is there and everyone is sound asleep in their beds, like with five blankets neatly over them and surrounded with stuffed animals. There’s no possible way any of the kids could have gotten across the house in that time and into bed like that. I’ve started experimenting to rule out airflow, changes in pressure, etc, like leaving the door open several feet or putting something in the way between the door and door jamb. It’s always a certain time frame early in the morning. Thoughts or advice?
