Let me set the stage. My fiance orders for us, I'm sat at the table looking at pictures of 12oz vs 32oz, completely oblivious. My son sat beside me in his stroller.

Fiance says they're going to also go grab something from the subway next door, ok cool I got this. Fiance leaves, I wait.

barista lady starts shooting out orders left and right, I panic realizing I never asked what fiance ordered.

I'm SPAMMING them. Frantic texts "PLZ PLZ PLZ OH GOD AAAAHHH" when I hear her call out a croissant sandwich.

Ok I KNOW I got one of those, so I went and grabbed it. Shortly after, I get the text with the full order, sweet. I turn back to the counter and see she's got all of it ready. Sweet.

TELL ME WHY THERES ANOTHER CHEEKY FKN CROISSANT ON THAT COUNTER!!

I double check the one I already grabbed and it's

THE WRONG ONE! in my lack of social skills panic I GRABBED SOMEONE ELSES FOOD..

WHO DID I JUST ROB!? WHY DID NOBODY ELSE STAND UP?!

Nobody is talking about it. Nobody has gone up asking about their missing food. Nobody looks to be mourning the loss of their savory bacon egg and cheese sammy, stolen by the panicking thief in the corner.

ITS TOO LATE TO GIVE IT BACK THE SOCIAL WINDOW HAS CLOSED WHAT DO I DO?!?!

TL;DR I was trusted to grab my own order, accidentally grabbed someone else’s and didn’t have the social skills to give it back.
