I embroidered it first onto a separate piece of fabric, split stitched a hole in the middle for the button, cut it out, then stapled it onto my cap and covered the staples with matching ribbon (underneath the mortarboard). The words are from “That’s the Way It’s Gonna Be”, by Phil Ochs and Bob Gibson. This is my first project of this scale. What do you all think?

This is going to go on my cap for graduation. I’ve never embroidered this much before (prolly should’ve done something easier), and I’m worried about the grass, that it looks like straw or sprinkles. i plan to add a couple red poppies randomly. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m aiming to have this finished by Friday
