Incredible Dumpster Find (looking for help!)
This is an incredibly rare 1967 Goya Rangemaster 116-SB. The electronics all work and it’s only missing the bridge, truss rod cover, and unfortunately, the fingerboard, which is where my biggest problem comes in.
I’m just not sure what to start with when trying to get this playing again. I need a (preferably) pre-slotted 21 Fret Rosewood fingerboard. I found one on Walmart of all places but I’m not sure if that would even work or not.
I’ll be able to place frets in, level, crown. Drill holes for the inlays. I have a bridge and nut that should both work fine. It’s the fingerboard that is the biggest problem for me. I could be overthinking it, I’m just pretty unfamiliar with how to fix a neck like this.
I’ve found some good info from a Chicago Music Exchange listing, any extra help or push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
