I build a PC recently with 2x8GB 5600Mhz kit, chip by Micron, both sticks are Single Rank, I was wondering now that with AGESA 1.3.0.0a BIOS is it possible to run stable 4 sticks of the same sticks same chip etc?
I did some research by reading AMD documentation of PG456 (https://docs.amd.com/r/en-US/pg456-integrated-mc), and just looked around the web, honestly there isn't much I can gather, asking AI too but I can't confirm what it says so I tried to find on the web of any evidence but maybe I'm terrible at finding them.
AMD listed the 7500F to be capable of running 2 Rank DIMM per channel, so I was thinking if 4x8GB Single Rank kit (Meaning each channel is 2 Rank in total) can maintain at least 5200Mhz or even 5600Mhz and be stable.
In AMD 7500F website, it said it can support 2x2R at 5200Mhz, am I wrong in assuming that 4 Single Rank rank sticks in 4 slots is equal to 2x2R since by using 4 Single Rank sticks, each channel is running 2 Rank?
(Taken from the 7500F website) Max Memory Speed:
- 2x1R DDR5-5200
- 2x2R DDR5-5200
- 4x1R DDR5-3600
- 4x2R DDR5-3600
Sorry if it's a stupid question, I am new and kinda lost, I'm trying to not spend on new 2x16GB kits and just instead add to what i have.
