Keychron K10 Max

Steelseries Apex RAW vs Keychron K10 Max

I finally received my Keychron K10 Max and I must say I'm not disappointed, but it seems like it will take some getting used to.
It was well packaged, with a thick layer of bubble wrap. The bow it comes in feels sort of premium and gets the job done with the added tips and manual. Best thing is that they provide the tools to quickly replace keycaps.

The way it sort of makes a curve with bottom and upper keys being higher than the middle feels weird, my previous keyboard seems entirely flat in comparison, it was also way lower.
The sound of the switches is nice, it feels so much better than my dying, but trustworthy, apex raw. One downside, the space bar is loud when pressed from the top instead of grazed with the thumb while typing. I also feel like some keys are more sensitive than others.

I've managed to use the online tool to configure it without much problem, apart from needing to use Edge instead of Chrome (Firefox not supported) to make the firmware update go through.

Compared to the Apex Raw, the K10 is heavy as hell. I like it, but if you plan to take it abroad it's far from being the best choice, even in smaller sizes.

Replacing the keys to make it a complete Windows ISO FR keyboard was way easier than I thought, but it was just the keycaps. I might get "creamier" switches, but the brown tactile already sound great. For the keycaps I'll try to get used to the "wave pattern", otherwise I'll just get flatter keycaps to deal with it since it seems possible.

Thanks again to ArgentStonecutter who's been really professional and patient in the help provided in this topic: Replacement tips

I think I'll update the post after getting some use out of it, barely a day of use isn't enough.
