Furnace is 1983. Got 3 quotes for A/C and 2 of the 3 said I should get a new furnace as the A/C will likely create issues with the furnace. The other company said it will be less efficient but shouldn’t break the furnace. Not sure who to believe. I am not bothered about efficiency I just do not want to damage a furnace and have it go during winter -40°C. Thanks.
