Ciao! Domanda genuina e senza provocazione: in vari Paesi la parola “expat” mi è sembrata neutra, mentre in Italia noto che spesso viene corretta o vista male.

Secondo voi da cosa nasce la reazione? È una questione di classe/privilegio, di “distinzione” rispetto a “immigrato”, o semplicemente suona snob?

Mi piacerebbe capirlo perché sto lavorando a un sito che riguarda gli stranieri in Italia e vorrei usare un linguaggio il più possibile rispettoso e realistico. Non c’è alcuna malizia nella domanda, anzi: sto cercando di capire meglio diversi punti di vista. Grazie 🙂

Lo so che qui si parla soprattutto di lavoro e carriera, però oggi è la Giornata Mondiale della Risata e mi sembrava carino spezzare un attimo la routine 🙂
