“Can you braid my hair?” No tf I cannot.

Hate when I’m dating around or making new friends and people assume or ask if I can braid their hair (all ethnicities ask btw) or do retwists. Like, I can barely braid my own damn hair. 😭 Trust, that’s one stereotype that I WISH I had, but unfortunately not all Black women are born with the gift of braiding hands. It just happens way too often that I’m asked this, or some dudes that ask may think it’s flirting, but honestly even if I could braid, it’s just a turnoff to ask a Black woman you just met to braid your funky ass hair in my opinion. Or even when I say I can’t they’ll proceed to ask me to try or use them for practice. “We’ll learn together” Fuck off. No. Do it yourself.

As Meg went through probably one of the worst celebrity cyberbullying incidents, mostly fueled by a bunch of grown ass men and a few bird brained bitches, for simply being a victim and is still getting hate while miserable people celebrate the slightest bit of her misfortune when all she does is keep to herself and uplift her community and women the best she can, this is absolutely a valid question to ask a man before deciding if you’d want to date him, as it lowkey will show you his mindset toward women, victim blaming, abuse, misogyny, protection, and empathy.

This recently happened and has started to make its rounds on social media. I saw another Reddit post about this video, and the comments were pretty defensive and bias on the racist florist’s behalf. This level of aggression and attempts to dehumanize are never acceptable, it doesn’t matter what happened prior to the woman recording. He shouldn’t have spoken to her like that at all, and the white people who are on his side are the reason racism runs rampant because of the lack of holding racists accountable. Just terrible.
