Remember when Gary made the call and had the Allman Brothers record contract canceled?
The little lady with the hot takes. Dr. Ruth would make you blush.
Claude can render now. AI is making your little LSD drawings look stupid. Imagine the foil.
When Melvin Seals fails to crackle, down the steps he goes. This is what caused Gary's back injury and subsequent heroin dependance.
Is this what they mean in Morning Dew: "If you plant rocks, forget you know my name"?
They've somehow figured out how to make money grateful deading Edward Van Halen.
If you run full sprint and hold this up to a mirror it reads "Aoxomoxoa". What did Merv Griffin mean by this?
A the rendering plant, we enjoy the Row Jimmy. What do you listen to at work?
Hi r/deadandcompany,
I’m very proud to share with you that I just finalized the first biography of John Mayer.
For some time now I’ve been working on an immersive biography of John Mayer, exploring his life through his music, and vice versa. Given how important his journey with Dead & Company has been, be sure that this chapter of his career is explored in depth.
I recently shared an early preview with the John Mayer subreddit and received some really thoughtful feedback, readers seem to be really satisfied with the book. So I wanted to share the news here as well since JM’s work with D&C brings such a unique perspective on his evolution as a musician.
My goal with the book was to combine a grounded, research-based approach with more narrative storytelling, trying to understand how he became the artist he is today, through both his successes and the setbacks.
Like many of you, I’ve been following John for a long time, around 15 years, and his music has had a deep impact on me. This started as a passion project, years of research, about a year of writing and editing, and honestly, I had an amazing time working on it!
If you are interested, I will provide the Amazon link here. I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I loved writing it. And I would love to get your opinion after reading it!
Thanks for your time.
Note to mods: Hope this kind of post is okay, happy to adjust if needed.
