Bought a very used two-tone 3rd gen the other day. Cleaned it up, polished a little, and now this extreme pitting near the “Smith and Wesson” is really standing out.

Advice on what to do? I understand most folks will tell me to just leave it or that it’s not worth time repairing, but I’m invested in the gun. May look for a new slide, but I’m also interested in trying to make this work. Thanks!
