Fixing level 7 ash brown hair color

Hello!

I naturally have level 7 ash brown hair and decided a couple of months ago to try to fix some brassiness from the sun on my ends. I went to a stylist and they suggested doing a single process color on all my hair to even it all out and make it all the same color. The stylist matched a swatch to my roots and mixed a very ashy color together. After the color she also applied a green toner, but my hair all came out red/orange.

I know because my hair is so ashy it probably just pulls all the warmth out of dye, but this shade looks so unflattering on me and I don’t want to have to have pay a ton of money to color correct or bleach over this as this past time was the first time I have used color in my hair in over 5 years and don’t want to destroy it.

I have tried using a blue shampoo (as directed, I’ve left it on for longer, I’ve applied to dry hair and let it sit for upwards of 30 minutes), I’ve tried a green toning gloss (also as directed, longer, and on dry hair) and neither of them helped much.

I feel like I know the only solution is to lighten the color and then redye it the ashy color, but is that the only way to fix this??? Please help!

-added pictures of the products I’ve used to try and fix the color!
