I’m mass producing Primavera Flower granny squares. I made a bunch a few months ago, and bringing the project back to life now.

In the pattern, as shown in the photo, she instructs to fasten off the first (and all other) rounds, using only a slip stitch. Isn’t it supposed to be fallowed by a a chain 1 to be secured? It definitely does not feel secure.

The problem is that when I do follow it with a chain, it gets extra bulky!
