I recently moved to a company which offered me 100% increase and the set up is under ako ng EU/Global team but technically employed sa Manila. The role and title itself is lower than my previous. During my application, naghire sakin mismo is the current Global COO but he left the current team few months after since fully take over niya na role as COO. May bago ako Manager sa team (EU) and company has merit increase every 6months. For my first 6months wala ako increase. My Manager didnt talk to me about it pero di rin ako nagtanong kasi I assumed na dahil probi ako. Sa next round ng increase, I found out wala pa rin ako increase even though nag ask ang Director sa Manila directly sa Manager ko (which means that I’m eligible to have one). I asked my Manager about it and he said kasi alam niya malaki na salary ko for the position and location (which I’m aware naman). My argument is, our salary is based from experience and skills and not sa role itself lang. Wala ding salary matrix ang company kaya walang cap sa salary for specific roles. Based talaga siya sa decision ng Management.

Am I wrong if I reach out to my previous Manager (COO) and raise this concern? Feel ko kasi napaka unprofessional when my Manager said na kahit ano gawin ko, never na ako magkakaincrease dahil feel niya I’m super above the average PH Employee salary kahit lahat ng ka team ko is outside PH and obviously earning more. Again, I’m aware that my salary is above average pero I feel like it’s not enough reason for my Manager not to give me increase kahit technically I am eligible for it. Ayaw ko din kasi mag mukhang ungrateful or greedy but I feel like may point naman argument ko.
