HOT TAKE | ARVO > CARLOS

I FORGOT TO PUT SPOLIER SO SPOLILERS. okay I know i’m going to get downvoted to hell for this but i’ve thought this for awhile and i wanna know yalls thoughts. Carlos is a worse character than Arvo by a LONG shot. While i dislike Arvo more, Carlos might be the worst written character of the season. It was entirely his fault that Sarah is the way she is, none of your choices with him matter, his writing as a “doctor” is absolutely laughable because if you’re a doctor and don’t help a little girl walker bite or not you a bitch. He was just such a nothing burger until his death. Legit the only reason he’s there is to be the main antithesis to Carver and even THEN Kenny is the one to kill him and Carlos gets sidelined which i think is a huge missed opportunity. Arvo on the other hand might’ve been the worse person but is actually a very well written character. It provides the player with a kind of moral dilemma where you need to decide whether or not you take pity on this random russian kid, or you prioritize your own groups survival and punish him for being a coward. Only problem is that Arvo suffers from this seasons biggest problem of no choices meaning anything. He shoots Clem regardless of what you do which sucks but Arvo was a far more interesting and well written character than Carlos.

Okay so i’m on season 3 in my rewatch, and honestly the writers making muscle man less antagonistic and making him a little smarter was the best thing they could’ve done for his character. He went from being a borderline villan in seasons 1-2 to being arguably one of Mordo and Rigby’s best friends. The episode i really look at is The Night Owl. The episode opens with what looks like the first glimpse of Muscle Man and Fives hanging out with Mordecai and Rigby aside from My Mom. And they were all planning on sharing the car, EVEN MUSCLE MAN. Guaranteed in season 1 Mitch wouldn’t have even thought about doing that for them and I think Muscle Man’s development is seriously overlooked.

ykw is late night, why not. Do yall think that Abel could’ve been redeemed? I personally think he was beyond redemption. Would’ve mercilessly killed Mitch and Willy if you fail to respond, almost killed AJ, kidnapped kids, BEAT UP CLEM…the list goes on.

IK it’s embarrassing as hell as a member of this subreddit, but i’ve never seen Fear and i’m watching S1 E1 right now. I’ve heard really bad and good things so what do you guys think of the show without spoilers?

Out of these 4 potential leaders, IN THEIR PRIME, who’s your leader?

Me personally i’d go Lee. He’s rational, not very trigger happy, always willing to work with people, and most of all cares about everyone. He’s also strong against both humans and walkers. Also he never really made any direct decisions that led to the death of people, you could argue that for maybe every other candidate.

I’ve never seen a more apt description of the term character assassination than this. Andrea in the comics might be one of the best female comic characters of all time and she was my favorite character until her death. I just think it’s so sad show fans that haven’t read the comics only see Andrea as a dumb, thoughtless, naive and selfish character where I remember her as a badass, a mother to Carl, and an amazing partner for Rick. Justice for Andrea man goddamn.
