Scared to clean his tank

Yesterday i planned to take him out of his tank to clean it, but he was in a striking pose, so I figured he was still hungry (I fed him the day before yesterday) so I warmed him up another rat and gave it to him yesterday and he ate it. I came to check on him today to see if he has calmed down so I can clean his tank but he’s still in a striking position and I’m scared to reach my hand and because I don’t want him to strike at me. What can I do?

EDIT: The picture doesnt do a good job of showing how he was super ready to strike earlier.
I now know to not feed him twice in a row like that (this is the only time ive done it) I didnt know he would still act hungry even if he just ate and didnt need more food.
I got a snake hook a while ago but hes too heavy and i dont want to hurt him. I know their bites don’t do much damage, but it still is scary and very startling to me.
Thank you to the people who gave advice
