Hi, I’m a bit worried about a reaction after a tetanus shot and wanted to know if this sounds normal.

About 2 days ago I got a tetanus injection after accidentally cutting myself with a rusty knife. The injection was given in my right shoulder/upper arm.

Now the injection site feels very hard and lumpy under the skin. It’s mildly red and hurts when I move or touch it. The lump feels pretty noticeable and that’s what’s worrying me most.

Its a very very prominent lump with mild redness.

Prior, to this at the age of 15 and 20 respectively i got myself injected. But they did not hurt me at all. They were not lumpy either. But this one is. This one is very prominent.
