Here's the Eugene Weekly article I'm talking about.

So this is a comment that I decided to copy and paste to make it its own post, and I'm feeling crabby today, especially since I was actually having a good day so far.

Ballots are getting delivered to voters in my state today, and my left leaning local weekly newspaper that I try to pick up every week endorsed the status quo incumbent for my house district over the progressive primary challenger for that seat today, and people might have already voted for the former and mailed in their ballots right after they received them within the first fucking week, like COME THE FUCK ON, WE CAN'T AFFORD TO PULL PUNCHES ESPECIALLY AFTER YESTERDAY'S FUCKING RULING FROM THE FUCKING NOT-SO-SUPREME COURT! NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT SAID PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGER HAS A LINK TO HER CAMPAIGN THAT VOTEDEM HAS ON THEIR VOLUNTEER DOC AND THE INCUMBENT'S CAMPAIGN IS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN ON THERE!

Context: The Eugene Weekly endorsed Val Hoyle over Melissa Bird, I don't even hate Hoyle that much, she's decent on internet legislation if I remember correctly (voting against the Tiktok ban for one,) but come the fuck on, Weekly, y'all went from spreading the word of a plan to clear cut our old growth forests and gave us a way to oppose it to *this?!* ESPECIALLY A DAY AFTER THE FUCKING VRA RULING FROM THAT SHITTY FUCKING COURT?!

(Putting this under Seeking Optimism but this is less doomerism and more rage, there probably needs to be a flair for expressing anger, but any optimism that my district will go to the left of the status quo here would be appreciated.)

Edit: added article above.
