I have about 20 Hoyas I think and about a handful of them had root rot in the last 8 weeks. And just today, I checked on my 3 week old rooted cuttings in my prop boxes, and I’d say about 1/4 has root rot.
Not sure what is happening. I don’t give special fertilizer nor special mix for my plants. All my plants (hoya, anthurium, alocasia, philodendron, string of plants) get the same soil mix and fertilizer but only my Hoyas are getting root rot.
Since I didn’t bother repotting and treating them, I just kept watering them as usual. I use clear pots so it’s easy to tell.

What surprised me is that those Hoyas with root rot just kept growing new healthy roots, some of those new healthy roots are even touching the dead roots!

The growth of new leaves are slowed down, but not stopped. So what’s going on? Why hasn’t root rot decimated my Hoyas yet? I know I would need to repot and disinfect the roots one day but I am surprised after 8 week, those Hoyas are growing normally albeit slower.
