Searching for Aussie song
Trying to find a random Sydney song from ~2014–2015 (guy handing out CDs in a bar)
This has been stuck in my head for YEARS and I can’t find anything online.
Around 2014–2015 in Sydney, a guy handed me and a friend a CD in a bar. Aussie bloke, independent artist. Most of the tracks were pretty floaty / ambient.
But one track (maybe 3rd or 4th) was completely different — short (around 2–2.5 minutes), high energy, and really comedic. Kind of like an aggressive rant / spoken word / comedic rap.
Lyrics went something like:
“get out of my way... Get out of my way, coz I’m angry and I’ve had a bad day
and you’re in my way
it’s not your fault but you’re gonna pay
with an uppercut and a jab
I’ll knee you in the *****
get out of my way”
I’ve Googled the lyrics and found absolutely nothing, so I’m guessing it was never officially released.
Other details:
* Male Aussie artist
* Handing out CDs himself in a bar
* Sydney (possibly Newtown or CBD)
* Mostly ambient tracks, but this one was a chaotic/funny standout
Does this ring a bell for anyone? Even a vague memory of the artist would help 🙏
