Anyone else notice they’re starting to paint Gresham Station white?
It already looks so awful on Gresham Town Fair and Oregon Trail Center, and is way too bright in the sun… why??? I wish there was a way to stop it, it’s going to look awful.

I've been graduated as a graphic designer for a little while now, and the job market has just been hopeless. Not only is a cushy big agency job unobtainable, but touring places that are super minimalist, corporate, and, for lack of a better term, overwhelmingly modern, just seem like a creativity killer. I want to break out of doomscrolling on LinkedIn and look for the small places that aren't going to be posted there.
I currently work in a print shop that works with a lot of local businesses, but is pretty low-stakes, and works with a lot of hardware that isn't up-to-date. I don't mind that, and I would prefer to work somewhere that does a lot of smaller/simpler(?) client work for less pay but has more of a 'hole-in-the-wall' feel to it. I'm thinking places/studios like CityGraphics or Helioscope that have been doing solid work for decades and don't seem too concerned with filling a social media quota. My previous job was as a contract designer with a very small team, and I would love to return to that kind of work, in a real office... do you know of any places like this? Does what I'm looking for even make sense?
