Mistakes building a PC

I wanted to make a post discussion where people share their mistakes while building a PC so other people can learn from our experiences.

Ill go first.

I had a fish tank style case and wanted clean aesthetics, so I bought extra fans to replace some stock ones. Mounted everything, felt good about the setup… then realized I bought the wrong type of fans for my intake positions. They weren't "wrong" per se, but it meant that I had to flip the fans around and show the ugly side. I ended up having to return them for reverse blade fans, but it delayed my building for about 3 days since it was a weekend.

I have no creativity

In the process of building my first "Aesthetic" PC. All my previous builds were built for budget/performance, and this is my first time building a "Good Looking" PC. Im still waiting on all the parts, but it's a full white build. I kind of regret getting all white because imo, black has a lot of secondary colors that work well with it.

Anyways, I want to theme my PC around one of my All time favorite anime, Steins;Gate, but I lack the creativity and artistic skill to design one myself. Anyone have any advice?
