Just an update, my VPS is now back up and running.

Since my developer who manages the server is currently unavailable, I reached out to support to ask if there was anything I needed to do on my end. However, they suggested upgrading to the latest OS by purchasing a new plan.

Honestly, after dealing with the stress of the outage and not being able to access the server, that response was quite frustrating. It also raises concerns on my end. Does this mean my current server is still vulnerable? If I’m on a VPS, shouldn’t upgrading be possible without moving to a new plan?

I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions. At this point, I’m also considering whether it might be better to move to another provider.

Hi BLUEHOST, we’d like to understand what’s currently happening. We’re concerned as we have clients hosted on our VPS. At the moment, we’re unable to log in even though the front end appears to be active. Our clients haven’t noticed any issues yet, but we expect they may start raising concerns soon. Could you please provide an update and the estimated time for resolution?
