Just found this metal Artifact and was wondering if anyone can help me ID what it could be (found in England)
Hi everyone
So I was exploring looking for old pottery, glass and stuff in a long farmer’s field near Glebe road Harrowgate Hill Darlington in England and I noticed this bit of oxidised green colour metal sticking out of the ground and I pulled it out of ground and I was excited at what I found as I have feeling it’s really old.
I didn’t know how to describe it. It’s about the size of the pam of my hand and has T shape to and two holes in and it curve a bit.
Found this a little bit down from where I found a bone handle off a victorian tooth brush.
When I picture search it google AI at first thought it was off a victorian butter churner but then it though it was Medieval horse harness pendant hanger.
I was wondering if anyone on here could help me ID it and possibly how old it is.
I got a strong feeling it old. The area has both Roman and medieval history to it.
Any help is greatly appreciated
