Massive Progress

Was in a severe flair that sent me to ER it was so bad. Epigastric pain, nausea, no appetite, weak, no energy, vocal chords fried, throat feeling closed off, trouble swallowing, lungs sore when breathing etc.. no noticeable change within first week of pantaprazole at 40mg. Still stayed with it. I am on week 2 and some things I added past 3 days were taking Zyrtec at night and GI Revive by designs for health and digestive plant enzymes (Now brand). I wasn’t sure if histamine was involved with GERD, but ever since I took it overnight 50% or more of my symptoms went away. I cannot definitively say this helped, but timing of symptom relief leads me to believe there was histamine involvement. GI Restore has some amazing ingredients recommended by my doctor. I will stick with my 30 days of ppi and will report how I’m doing when I finish. My diet has been low fodmap, and now starting to introduce more fats like avacado and ground beef as I don’t eat a lot of carbs. Im feeling more solid and functioning at 90%.

Working out advice

Hello fellow betics. Looking to see if you have advice for weight lifting and training. I have found that I usually tank if I lift weights or walk/run/anything cardio. All working out tanks me, with or without insulin on board I can crash. Looking for the best time to go to the gym, and meal recommendations. If I have carbs before gym, I will spike and then when I bolus after I crash hard. So maybe no insulin and no carb before?? But then my energy is like 0.

I feel like my old workouts pre t1d are gone forever. Wishing I could dominate with energy and good glucose throughout. Any tips welcome.

(I understand we are all different and respond differently so advice is helpful, but I understand might not be universal)

Choking on food

I think I am in a gerd flare up right now, I notice if I dont eat within 3-4 hours, even if I am drinking water, food gets stuck in my throat. It is the scariest thing I have ever experienced. I cant even breath, and I panick and chug water to get even a tiny piece of food to go down. Anyone else experience this? Any solutions or tricks? Help needed!

For the last 2 weeks I have had random bouts of nausea like 5-6/10 definitely manageable seem to get better with eating. Well I am on a golf trip with the boys, and my lungs started to hurt when I would take a deep breath almost like an asthma feeling (I don’t have asthma) but it was not localized to esophagus or epigastric area. And then I started to have nausea more intense and epigastric stabbing pain and I couldnt swallow food (like even chicken in broth was getting stuck) also a little horseness and phlegm. I went to get checked and doc said it was GERD so I got put on pantoprazole, and some zofran. Curious to know if anyone here has had the asthmatic deeper breath sensation, and or the nausea. Im hoping this ppi will quickly resolve the nausea. Its unbearable, zofran doesn’t seem to help much.

Experiencing some harsh symptoms, and they came on all of a sudden. I started pantoprazole and am on day 2. I have had minor flare ups of this disease in the past, but going through a really rough one right now… Can pantoprazole help me recover from this “flare up” so I can get back to baseline? I think I am a little concerned that it might be a band aid, and I for sure need a band aid. But can it help the healing process and allow me to return to normal? Or is this something that will revert back to symptoms after completed round?
