This is my first relationship that I’ve let my 19 and 23 yr old kids know that I am in since the divorce from their mom 15 yrs ago. My gf is married. Her H knows. I feel really comfortable with it, her H fine with it. She and I are great together. I know my son won’t care. My 19 yr old daughter is extremely protective of me and very judgmental.

I have to let my kids know I’m not ashamed of this relationship so I don’t lose her, but as someone who has pretended to have had no relationships since they were like 5., it’s hard. The internet’s advice of phrase it as no big deal doesn’t work for me. It IS a big deal…
