ReSound vs Oticon vs Phonak....?

Background- I currently have Oticon Chili (13 battery)– 12 years now. Before that Oticon Sumo. I’ve tried Phonak, Widex in the past- maybe ReSound. Recently- last 2 weeks or so I had trouble with my left ear so would take off hearing aid to rest a couple of times. Alas- it disappeared- either dropped/fell in something (ahem…bathroom) or mother moved it somewhere (to be found 1-3 years later??). My hearing loss is severe to profound (emphasis on profound- the severe bit is left ear and only one frequency) and since birth.
Hmm so time for new hearing aids anyway. These are the three the Audiologist recommended-

  • Resound Enzo (she didn’t say which model tho- Q or IA)
  • Oticon Xceed Play Ultra Power
  • Phonak Sky Lumity UP

I’d prefer battery (675) ; open to rechargeable but not a big fan (yet?) Interested in hearing aids in colors other than beige/gray/silver/brown and black. Bluetooth and/or telecoil. Not sure what else I'd want or need

I know that ReSound adult HAs has multiple color tones but only has rechargeable. It also has the Bluetooth Auracast while the other two only has Bluetooth. Otherwise they’re all somewhat comparable to me unless I’m missing something. I don’t recall what else we talked about yesterday

Curious to see what others might think or if there are other options besides these three.

It’s been years since I bought one on my own lol… the last two were through Vocational Rehab- they paid but there were…restrictions on brand I believe.

Happy to answer queries too.

Thank you for reading this tome 📖
