I got the book for Christmas and already had an April marathon in the diary. I've been running for ages, but not in a focused way - bits of road, hill races, ultras up to 100km. I've averaged 6 hours a week in the last year.

I ran a half in Jan in 1:23 (using a lightweight Daniels) and started NSR immediately afterwards and have been loving it. I did most of the book's marathon plan too.

The marathon was last weekend. I felt great and was cruising towards 2:59 at 23 miles when I started getting cramp twinges. My hamstrings and adductors have been weak spots before. It slowed me down but I managed to hold off full cramp, finishing in 3:01

What I took from it was that my aerobic strength was good enough but my muscular endurance was my limiter. How do I fix that? Just continue the workouts? I know Sirpoc did no strength stuff but he had more volume and more years of it than me - so do I keep on the same track for a year and try again, or do I need to get back in the gym?
