Does anyone know when the Tour St Jacques will open this year? I had been thinking April, and now hoping sometime in May. Their website simply says it's closed for "travaux"—no mention of reopening.

Has anyone walked this path? I don't know if it's mostly paved or if it has any technically challenging sections.

I'm 72F walking in early June, with luggage transfer, and would prefer to just wear my favorite low-profile trail runners and Ecco walking sandals, depending on temps. Does that seem ok? (I managed fine with this setup on the Via Podiensis, but I was 10 years younger.)

Appreciate any clue what to expect. Thanks!
