Best "holdout" map?

I really enjoy maps, where maybe multiple AI are against me or I am overall expected to hold a position in a disadvantaged position. I like weathering wave after wave of enemy onslaught while I slowly build up my hero and towns defenses, gaining xp from each fight and gradually making a better and better stand until I can go out and capture my enemy.

The scenario that rly scratched this itch for me was "creeping borders" with the roots faction. I am wondering if there are any other maps that are similar, or that can have a similar feel with certain settings? Dont have to be base game maps only either, if there is somewhere that I can download such maps, I will do so.

Thank you for any recommendations.

EDIT: the first Vanir scenario also scratched that itch a bit btw, but was a bit too easy, even on hardest diff

I mean I kinda get that it is called "unfair". But at least give me a chance. I do not think there is any possible way I could have played that would have made it possible for me to win. It is just impossible to have enough power by day 9.

This is biggest issue on smaller maps. AI is near you way too quickly with way too high stats. I think that the devs should look at balancing AI cheats across map sizes and number of AI enemies.

At least if you crank up every difficulty to highest, I think that it really just is not possible, unless you get some absolute god roll on starting nodes or something. Even then I do not think it is possible on small maps.
