The only reason I bought this watch was because I saw people on this forum swapping their BB58 GMT bezel inserts with Steel Reef inserts. Naturally, I ended up on the Steel Reef website… and the second I saw this blue bezel insert, I was hooked instantly.
I always loved the BB58 GMT dimensions, the METAS certification, and the overall comfort of the watch, but I was never fully sold on the stock bezel color scheme. This blue completely changed the watch for me.
Funny enough, I actually ordered the bezel insert first… then went to my AD and bought the watch 😄
This morning I finally did the swap. I took my time, used the proper tools and press, followed the instructions carefully, and even 3D printed a bezel removal jig from Thingiverse for my press setup.
Honestly, with the correct tools and Steel Reef’s instructions, the whole process only took a couple of minutes.
I am absolutely over the moon with how this turned out. I own a Tudor P39 and four Rolexes, and I can already tell it is going to be a while before any of the others get much wrist time.
What a banger.
Huge thank you to #SteelReef for supporting watch nerds like me who sometimes just want to tweak the design a little and make a watch feel truly personal.

I am not a jogger, so just curious, why do people jog on the road day or night without any hi-visibility vest or reflectors, basically in black clothing risking their lives. What's wrong with the sidewalk? What am I missing?

So this afternoon, I ran into a couple of people dumping big bags of garbage into the garbage bin at our local park... 4pm on this lovely afternoon. I politely pointed out to them that the garbage bins are not for household trash and that they should take those bags to the dump. They told me to shut up and mind my own business. They looked pretty determined and confrontational about it, so I put my tail between my legs and walked away. I figured there is no point getting into it over garbage... the current justice system would probably arrest me for getting involved.
If we are now willing to turn Canada into a lawless country, can I at least start carrying a gun for self-defence? I would be much more confident and comfortable fighting for our rights and rules if I had a sidearm to de-escalate a situation if it turned into a confrontation.
No, I didn't take pictures of them or their car because I don't want them to follow me home and vandalize my cars or house... happened to a neighbour, one morning all 4 tires of his car were slashed.
