Has anyone else noticed the decline in quality and service at Weis Markets in PA?

Weis is heading down the toilet in Honesdale.

The fish is so bad they intentionally cover the eyes, you can't get custom deli orders so it's a crap shoot buying lazily pre-cut cold cuts and the packaging is all a pound or more which is a waste unless you're a family of 6, the meat is like leather with little to no marbling, the fruit spoils within 24 hours of purchase, there are a lot of expired items on the shelves, Weis HQ doesn't reply to feedback, after certain hours it's self checkout or nothing, the prices are stupid high.

They turned to a really crap store since Covid.

Rumor has it an Aldi's is coming and I can't wait.

For now I go to 4 or 5 different stores. One cuts deli in front of you, another has great fish and beef etc., there's a farmer's market that's closer and they have fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses and beef and poultry.

There's IGA up the road. When I go to Stroudsburg I hit Price Chopper and Foodtown.

Weis is crapola anymore.

They cut down on employees and it shows.

Jonathan Weis should be ashamed. Took what was once a good store and turned it into a steaming pile in just a couple of years.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it just our store or all Weis locations in PA?

Phillip Lovingfoss - Monticello Hotel

The hotel was sold and I was wondering if the putz Phillip Lovingfoss is still terrorizing the town with his DUI BS.

The guy's lucky he hasn't killed anyone yet .....

Maybe Ginger but that's another mystery.

Has anyone encountered this? A&P 48 years here.

You know how the DMI states an "aircraft shall not depart a station where the repair can be made"?

An airline I worked at would actually go through the trouble to route aircraft around airports where the parts were to address a DMI so they didn't have downtime. How stupid can you be?

A damned anti ice valve is what.... a 20-30 minute job on a bad day? Most DMIs are not hours long tasks.

I thought that was a shit way to interpret that statement.

Then, the idiots were using FedEx and UPS to deliver parts to us at EWR. I said WTF is wrong with you people??!!! We have all of the parts at different airports we fly in and out of and we have our own damned airplanes to bring us the parts.

If it weren't for ageism I'd still be there. I really miss it a lot. And the people I worked with.
