This is a bit of a double whammy.
About 5 or so days ago, i heard movement of animals inside the walls on the second floor. My family and i were expecting mice for whatever reason. But i went upstairs and heard one of the little guys and opened a cupboard and lo and behold, there are two very young looking squirrels.
I am unsure whether or not they are stuck or unable to escape.
A couple days ago, I was able to coax the black fella out and bring him outside under supervision. He was definitely a little scared but he willingly stepped onto my open hands and climbed up my right arm onto my shoulder.
A few hours later he went around to our front porch and momma squirrel came by and picked him back up.
Here’s where the double whammy starts:
I can’t seem to shake the anxiety that the little fella gave me rabies (i blame my GAD).
He did scratch me on the arm and i *think* the back because it stings, but when i asked my brother to check he saw no scratches.
I guess i just need reassurance im fine because there has never been a confirmed case of rabies transmitted from squirrel to human.
