Hey everyone, hoping someone here has dealt with this before!
Just installed an aftermarket head unit in my 2007
Mazda6 wagon (GG/GY gen, automatic A/C). Everything works great, audio, Bluetooth, screen, but I can't get the CAN Bus communicating, steering wheel controls working, or HVAC data displaying.
What l've tried:
- Every single CAN Bus profile available, all show as
"Disconnected"
- Xinbas-Mazda-Mazda6-2004~2010-All is the only one that shows anything in Car Info (fuel stats only, but not actually updating)
- All custom settings and toggles turned on in Car Info
- All connectors confirmed properly seated (8-pin and
10-pin to motherboard)
- No separate CAN Bus box, built into the unit
- Supplier is sending a replacement motherboard under warranty
Key info:
- 2007 Mazda6 wagon GG/GY gen
- Automatic A/C (not manual)
- I believe the 2007 uses a resistive/analog SWC system rather than true CAN Bus, could this be the issue?
Is this just a compatibility issue with this generation Mazda6? Is there a specific adapter or wiring trick I'm missing? Any help massively appreciated!
