So in Februrary my family went to Disneyland and after a few hours my family which includes me, mom, dad, brother 1, brother 2, and uncle decided to go on the Indiana Jones ride as its one of our favorites.
So we entered the line and went through the standby line the line moved pretty quickly for it being about an hour on the sign. When we reached about half way a cast member we will call Alice which is not her real name, so please don't go harassing cast members named Alice especially in this ride.
The line had gotten longer after we entered the line and Alice had come in to open another part of the line, and Alice had asked my family to go into the part she was opening which if most of our group wasn't already already past where Alice was going to reconnect the line. So we told her that we were going to catch up to our group pointing to where they were. Alice seemed to be annoyed but didn't say anything.
So Alice led the people behind us through the line and reached where she planned on connecting the line again right as we reached it again, this time Alice was a lot more annoyed and tried to get us to go through the line she had just opened. I have no idea if she wanted us to go back and through or what, but we refused. Once again pointing to where our group was and went to join them.
As we walked away Alice very loudly said " Ugh! Absolutely rediculous!"
We have had gone to Disneyland thousands of times over about 15 or so years, and in this situation usually goes of the cast member asking for the end of the group and having the next party go, so this was very unusual for a cast member.
We went through the rest of the line and enjoyed the ride, and as we left the ride we saw Alice at the enterance of the ride. We finished our day but I never forgot Alice.
Yes I know we could've just done what Alice wanted but it was just easier to keep going. And if Alice wanted us to go all the way back to where she had opened the line it would've held the whole thing up for us to return to our group. And it was dark, so I didn't get a good look at her name, so for all I know her name was actually Alice, for that reason we didn't report Alice.
So, were we the jerk for not listening to Alice?
TL;DR Disney cast member talks back to us for not going through the part of the line that she had just opened.
