Hi everyone, I’ve been researching mattresses for a while (Reddit + in-store testing) and narrowed it down to two:
Stearns & Foster Estate (firm)
Purple Restore / Restore Premier
I’ve seen really mixed opinions on both, so I’d love to hear real experiences.
A few specific questions:
Has anyone had the Stearns & Foster Estate firm long-term? Does it sag after a year or so?
For people with Purple (especially Restore models), how has it held up over time?
What base are you using (box spring, platform, adjustable, etc.)?
If you’re comfortable sharing, what are your approximate height/weight? I’ve noticed durability seems to vary a lot depending on that.
I’m leaning toward a firmer mattress for durability and might add a topper if needed.
Would really appreciate any honest feedback—especially from people who’ve owned these for a while 🙏
