For context, currently on 3 month contract with holiday pay factored into a low salary.

I've been offered a job on a 12 month contract at 8k higher pay, plus pension, bank holidays, annual leave etc. Start date 18th May with no contract just yet, but progressing with HR, DBS checks etc.

Do I grin and bare it for the next two weeks and tell them the weekend before I'm due to start? Found a 30min meeting turned into 2.5 hours today, at which point the guy spent 15 minutes telling me "Speak to Dawn if I'm not around". Closed the laptop lid.

Tell them now, leave now, or tell them last minute? With the current job market, thinking tell them last minute.
