Little backstory: I was in Manchester for primary school in the early 2000s. Since my english at the time was horrible I had trouble socializing but the community was extremely welcoming and I have very fond memories of the place.

I would eat from the lunch that the school gave out and there was one particular dessert that really stood out to me to this day and I can't quite figure out what it was (I left the uk after 2 years and never returned).

All I know is that it was some sort of cake drenched with pudding/cream. It might be pound cake? Bread pudding? I vaguely remember the taste but its more the memory that is compelling me to find the recipe and recreate it at home.
