VTEC SOLENOID

So I recently took my 2016 Honda Civic to the dealership, I have warranty and needed a Starter replacement. During the replacement the noticed 2 wet spots/leaks near the starter area. They said it was coming from the VTEC Spool Valve and The VTEC Solenoid, unfortunately its not covered under my warranty and I CANNOT afford to pay out of pocket now. I want to know if any of you have made this repair yourselves? I've seen some YouTube videos and it seems "fairly" simple. I just want to hear from the Civic community here on Reddit. I do have some/mininal experience: I had a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer, and replaced VVT Solenoid(required dropping power steering pump), Oil Pressure Sensor, Power Steering Cooler, and Ignition Coils. I also redid part of the front suspension: Upper and Lower control arms and ball joints. Just a bit of my history, I guess Im wondering if you guys have done VTEC Solenoid, and do you think its a job i can tackle myself?
